Shove (Medium Stick)
Hold right-click to charge, bow-style, for up to one second. Your next melee hit within two seconds is the shove: exactly one damage, half a heart, regardless of your gear, with charge-scaled knockback that peaks around Knockback IV. It is a repositioning tool for moving mobs off ledges, out of doorways and away from you. Three-second cooldown, one durability per shove.
Tip: The half-heart damage is fixed on purpose. You shove to move something, not to kill it.
Jab Launch (Quarterstaff)
Hold left-click for at least 0.6 seconds and release: a short forward thrust with about four blocks of reach that deals 3 damage and launches the first mob hit roughly three blocks straight up. Four-second cooldown, three durability.
Pole Vault (Quarterstaff)
Right-click a block while on the ground to plant the staff and hop about two blocks up with a little forward carry. Fall damage from the vault itself is negated. Two-second cooldown, two durability.
Tip: It clears a two-block wall from a standstill, which is exactly the wall that usually stops you.
The Salvage Bench
Four sticks, a stone slab and an iron nugget. Drop any tool, weapon or armor piece in the input slot and it is salvaged the instant it lands: sticks come back scaled by remaining durability and are never taxed, materials come back as quarter-unit scrap minus a configurable 25% tax. If the six output slots cannot hold the full result the salvage is simply refused; items are never voided, and hoppers cannot automate the bench.
Tip: A diamond pickaxe at 80% durability returns 1 stick and 7 Diamond Fragments. Value back, never a dupe.
Scrap into materials
Four Iron Scrap craft back into an iron ingot, and the same goes for Gold Scrap, Diamond Fragments and Netherite Flecks. Netherite gear returns Diamond Fragments and Netherite Flecks both, because the upgrade was two materials. Enchantments are not recovered, ever: no books, no XP, no extraction. The bench is a material recycler and the GUI says so to your face.
Stick armor and Driftwood
A full armor set craftable from sticks alone, in the standard shapes, totalling 6 defense: just under leather, for the price of 24 sticks. The full-set bonus is Driftwood: wood floats, so you do. In water, gentle buoyancy holds you at the surface and eases your swim speed, and sneaking dives. No fall protection, no thorns; the float is the whole bonus.
Knockback, capped
Both weapons are wood-tier, repair with sticks, and are fully enchantable; Knockback stacks on top of the built-in bonus, which is the point. Total knockback is capped at 4.0 so mobs get moved, not fired through walls. No stick ever out-damages the same-tier sword, also the point.
Tip: Pack makers: salvageability is entirely tag-driven. Tag modded gear into #stickback:salvageable and go.
