The crafting grid learns to cook: slice with an axe, grind with a pickaxe
Bullets Recipes is a small cooking mod. Put a food and a tool together in the crafting grid: an axe slices, a pickaxe grinds and mashes. The results cook in a furnace into patties, bacon, kofte and more, and any pile of foods can be stacked onto bread as one custom sandwich called Easy Food.
You stop seeing raw beef as a finished product. An axe turns it into diced beef for steak chunks; a pickaxe grinds it, and the grind smelts into a beef patty that eats like a steak. Bread stops being the end of the wheat pipeline and becomes the start of the kitchen: sliced, crumbed, or turned into a bagel with one clean sword stroke. And when your inventory is a mess of half-stacks of leftovers, you pile up to eight of them onto a loaf and eat the whole situation in one sitting.

Any food with a slicing recipe goes in the grid next to an axe. Bread becomes 6 Sliced Bread, a carrot becomes 3 Carrot Sticks, raw chicken becomes 3 Chicken Fillets, raw cod becomes 2 Cod Fillets, raw beef becomes 2 Diced Beef, a porkchop becomes 3 Pork Strips, and a baked potato becomes 2 Potato Wedges.
The same foods next to a pickaxe get crushed instead. Bread becomes 9 Bread Crumbs, beef becomes Ground Beef, porkchop becomes Ground Pork, chicken becomes Ground Chicken, cod becomes Minced Cod, a baked potato becomes Mashed Potatoes and a carrot becomes Smashed Carrots.
The tool is not consumed by the recipe; it stays behind in the grid with one point of durability taken off. A tool on its very last point of durability is used up by the craft, which is fair: it died cooking.
Every ground and sliced meat has a cooked form. Ground Beef smelts into a Beef Patty, Ground Pork into a Pork Patty, Ground Chicken into a Chicken Patty, Pork Strips into Bacon, Diced Beef into Steak Chunks, Cod Fillet into Grilled Cod and Chicken Fillet into Grilled Chicken.
Ground Beef plus an egg plus three Bread Crumbs makes 2 Raw Kofte; Minced Cod plus an egg plus three Bread Crumbs makes 3 Raw Fishcakes. Both smelt into their finished forms. Kofte lands at 8 nutrition, level with a cooked steak, which is correct and non-negotiable.
Bread plus one to eight of almost any food in the game crafts into a single sandwich. Eating it restores the combined nutrition and saturation of everything that went in, and special fillings keep their character: golden apples still grant Regeneration and Absorption, pufferfish still poisons you, rotten flesh still gambles on Hunger.

Flavour, not rules. None of this changes how the mod behaves.
The kitchen has three appliances: an axe, a pickaxe and a furnace. The axe handles knife work. The pickaxe handles everything a grinder, a mallet or a masher would do, which is to say it handles it hard. No inspector has ever visited, and every dish comes out fine, so the question of certification has been quietly tabled.
No new stations at all. The recipes use the tools you already own: axes slice, pickaxes grind, swords do exactly one thing (the bagel), and the vanilla furnace cooks.
It costs one durability per craft and the tool stays in the grid. Only a tool already on its last point of durability is consumed.
It restores the same total, so its value is convenience: one inventory slot and one long bite instead of eight snacks, plus any potion effects the fillings carry.
